AT THE END OF THE 2016 ROCK N ROLL NASHVILLE MARATHON THAT I WOULD PURSUE RUNNING ANOTHER MARATHON OR EVEN TRAIN FOR A FASTER TIME I WOULD HAVE LAUGHED. THE GOAL WAS TO JUST FINISH. I WALKED MANY PARTS, CRAMPED, THOUGHT ABOUT STOPPING, HAD A HORRIBLE NUTRITION PLAN, HAD TO GO TO THE MEDICAL TENT AT THE FINISH, AND FINISHED IN 4 HOURS AND 23 MINUTES.
FAST FORWARD TO THE BOSTON MARATHON APRIL 15TH 2024…
4 MONTHS OF TRAINING WITH TEMPS BELOW 55 DEGREES AND 1 DAY OF 70 DEGREES ON RACE DAY LED TO THE GENERATOR BEING BORN. I USED EVERYTHING FOR REFUELING.
